My Approaches and Values

My approach to therapy is solution-focused and tailored to the individual needs of clients. I pride myself in my ability to connect with my wide range of clients, including children, adolescents and adults through warmth and humor.

In my interventions, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy and Schema Based Therapy.

When working with children and adolescents, I use evidence-based approaches as well as work closely with parents, school and other collateral sources/ stakeholders in order to establish clear intervention plans.

I have an extensive experience of working in adult mental health and use a recovery focused approach when working with my adult clients.

For me, the objective is to work collaboratively and creatively with my clients to help meet their individual goals in a safe, secure and warm environment.
